Hahaha! No problem, I really appreciate that insight! I agree, lived experience is most important. Kierkegaard wrote about how anxiety stems from fear of choice and freedom. He said people need order and structure, without it we lose purpose and experience anxiety. Thats why I said he should have read your work, haha!

Ah, ok! So we both agree on the fear of choice (which is part of the 'fear of the unknown'). Now, freedom... that's an interesting take! A bit surprising, but I’m up for the challenge to see it from that angle. For me, freedom feels like happiness, bliss and even ecstasy at times! It's hard to imagine it being close to anxiety.

I do agree people crave order and structure. My take - same here, the opposites mean unknown.

Thanks! Appreciate you taking the time to explain it to the silly goose! :D

P.S. Now that you mentioned purpose, let me tell you about that one too - all in on this subject! :))

A fellow introvert, nice! I read somewhere that anxiety and excitement are rooted in the same part of your brain. I tell myself "dont get too excited," to psyche myself out.

P.S. Kierkegaard needed to read this, haha!

"A fellow introvert, nice!" <-- Yes, owning it! :D

"I read somewhere that anxiety and excitement are rooted in the same part of your brain. I tell myself "dont get too excited," to psyche myself out." <-- What a clever trick you have here! I'll definitely give it a try too!

"P.S. Kierkegaard needed to read this, haha!" <-- You got me there! I don't know much about the guy's work (I'm a bit illiterate when it comes to the big philosophers). I actually shied away from diving into philosophical works because, for me, psychology and philosophy feel very personal. I think it's more about introspection rather than reading about ideas that can sometimes seem too abstract. So please, if I don't ask too much, do tell me what I missed here - or in other words, I laughed before the punchline and didn't quite get it! :))
